Early personal computers were nothing like present day computers, they had personality. Each was different and more exciting than the previous, with new features and capabilities. Sure, they have limited power, were possibly very expensive, and can't run any software written for a different system, but that's part of what makes them unique and interesting. This website is dedicated to the preservation and display of these vintage computer systems.

Game Description Example: " Donkey Kong Jr. while popular, never quite reach the same level of fame as did the original game.

In this sequel, Mario plays the antagonist, finally having captured Donkey Kong. Locked in a cage, you must try to save him. However, this won't be difficult as Mario will send out snap jaws, swooping purple birds, and electric sparks in an attempt to stop Junior.

Defend yourself by dropping fruit found around the levels on the heads of your foes. The more foes a piece of fruit hits in a falling sequence, the higher bonus points can be scored. Junior can also avoid enemies by grabbing hold of two chains or vines at a time to climb away faster, or by jumping over his foes.

Junior is not indestructible though, avoid long falls or falling into the water.

In the final cut scene, Junior will free Donkey Kong and both will escape after giving Mario the boot.

Unlike the arcade version, 1980's console versions do not have all of the levels and animations from the arcade. "

A special thanks to all those who have contributed make this site a success!

Did you know that Sega's last video game console was the Sega Dreamcast? The console sold over 10 million units but was killed off shortly after it was released. Sega was losing money on the unit and feared that things would get worse with the entry of Microsoft in the market. It was discontinued in March, 2001.
